How to Use the HS Result Percentage & Grading Calculator Tool?

Using this calculator is straightforward. Choose one of the two methods below to determine your HS result percentage and grade:

Method 1: Calculate by Total Marks

This method is ideal if you already know your total marks obtained and the total maximum marks of your exam (e.g., 500 for West Bengal HS).

  1. Locate the section titled “Calculate by Total Marks”.
  2. In the first input field, enter your Total Marks Obtained (the sum of marks from all your subjects).
  3. In the second input field, enter the Total Maximum Marks for your examination (e.g., 500).
  4. Click the button.
  5. Your calculated Percentage, Grade, and Remark will be displayed in the “Results will be displayed here…” area.
  6. To clear the fields and perform a new calculation, click the button.

Method 2: Calculate by Subjects (Best 5)

Use this method if you want to enter marks for individual subjects. This calculator automatically considers your best five subjects, assuming each is out of 100 marks, to calculate the overall percentage out of 500.

  1. Scroll down to the section titled “Calculate by Subjects (Best 5)”.
  2. For each of your five main subjects (First Language, Second Language, Subject 3, Subject 4, Subject 5), enter the marks you obtained in the respective input fields.
  3. You can leave fields empty if you have fewer than five subjects or if you’re only focusing on specific ones, but ensure you enter at least one valid mark.
  4. Click the button.
  5. The “Results will be displayed here…” area will show your Total Marks Obtained (out of 500), Percentage, Grade, and Remark.
  6. Important Note: The tool will also warn you if you scored below 33% in any individual subject, as this is a common passing criterion for HS exams.
  7. To clear all subject fields and reset the results, click the button.

Enjoy using the HS Result Percentage & Grading Calculator to quickly check your academic standing!
